“I wanted to create wearable statements for peace.”
Dressed for Peace was born from a simple belief: making peace visible again. In a world where public conversations are often shaped by conflict, division, and taking sides, I wanted to create something that brings the message back to our shared humanity. The brand began with the idea that clothing can be more than something we wear, it can be a quiet statement, a conversation starter, and a daily reminder of the values we choose to stand for. I founded Dressed for Peace as a small, independent fashion brand in Berlin, inspired by the need to see more calls for peace in everyday life. The message is intentionally inclusive and secular: no flags, no political sides, no nationalism. Instead, the designs focus on universal words and symbols that speak across cultures, generations, and identities. Phrases like “Peace is Possible” and “Peace begins with us” reflect the heart of the brand, a commitment to compassion, dialogue, and hope. Each piece is designed for people who want to express their values in a calm but meaningful way. Dressed for Peace is for those who believe that peace is not passive, but something we practice, protect, and fight to achieve, event if it means making sacrifices. Whether through a T-shirt, cap, or tote bag, the goal is to create everyday wear that feels authentic, positive, and connected to something bigger than fashion. As a one-person small business, every order truly matters. The brand is still growing, learning, and improving, with a focus on responsible production, thoughtful design, and community. Our caps are embroidered in Berlin, in a small shop located on our street. Whenever possible, Dressed for Peace works with more sustainable materials and fairer production choices, while also donating part of the profits to peace-building initiatives. More than a fashion label, Dressed for Peace is a small movement, inviting people to use what they wear as a canvas, start conversations, and help bring the message of peace back into the public space.
