From the heart of India... With the rise of fast fashion and e-commerce over the past few decades, the world has been flooded with quickly made polyester items produced with little care, consumed rapidly, and disposed of without a care. When Sweta, our founder, started living and working outside India ten years ago, she had no idea that finding clothing that was stylish, well-crafted, free from polyester, and made with care instead of in exploitative sweatshops would become such a challenge. Born and raised in India, heritage textiles were woven into the fabric of Sweta s life. She yearned for a connection to the beauty and craftsmanship she cherished, and on every visit home, she d bring back unique pieces that reminded her of the magic she missed. For years, she continued shopping for her wardrobe and home decor from artisans and homegrown brands during her annual trips to India.
